What can cause a period to be delayed? I'm just wondering cause a lot has changed these last few months, like I've been doing a lot of working out (mostly crunches) but last month I was early now I'm 2 days late and still waiting....
And is it weird that I'm having my usual period cramps around my waist but I still haven't started yet?

Dear Mariaha,

It's not unusual for your period to be a few days early and a few days late. As long as it comes around the same time every month, there is nothing wrong or abnormal about having a period that is off by a few days. As a matter of fact, very few women actually have periods that are exactly every 28 days or every 30 days. Most of us have 28 day cycles that can become 30, 27, 32 day cycles at any time. If you are cramping then chances are your period should be coming down soon.

Try not to stress out-- stress can and will cause changes in your period.

Best,

Rosa
