Guide

Hello. Thank you for posting.

Repetitive motion, injuries, including carpal tunnel syndrome, can cause pain in the wrist and hand.  Certain conditions such as diabetes can cause damage to the nerves resulting in pain, (numbness or tingling as well).

A splint can stabilize the position of your fingers, thumb, or wrist.
NSAIDs can help relieve pain such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin).
Alternating heat and cold compress may help.
An injection of a corticosteroid into a joint can reduce inflammation (if deemed necessary by a doctor).
