I am mid-thirties and I have had dark purple circles under my eyes since I was a kid. I've tried other creams and lotions, and concealers. Nothing seemed to work. Until I found the Made from Earth Advanced Eye Repair. I decided to smooth it over my entire face, since I have a big problem with dry skin and a little bit of roughness and redness. WOW!!! Every night before bed for 2 weeks, HUGE difference.
My dark circles are gone, my skin is smooth and hydrated, coloring is more even, my face feels firm and tight.

My eyes do this also and I found out I was allergic to my mascara. It could also be your eye makeup.

If this is worsening you could have an infection. You may want to go to an urgent care center, which will see you right away, without insurance, at lower cost than an emergency room. You could also look into free clinics, but there is often quite a wait to get in, and it sounds like your problem is escalating and needs immediate attention. http://www.freeclinics.us/freeclinic.php

It has been about three weeks now and I went to two interviews but did not get either job. I was almost back to normal and now it's just starting all over again! My hands started itching/cracking, red(ouch!) and look terrible. I noticed yesterday that my eyelids had started again, also. I have not left home except to see my Father in the nursing home, and am growing inreasingly depressed. Being that I am still unemployed/uninsured, I am desparate and willing to try anything, at this point!

beatrice99 - Since the only place you've been is to see your father in the nursing home is it possible that you encountered something there that is causing an allergic reaction? Is it possible you're encountering something with your hands and then spreading it to your eyes? Did you stop and then resume using any type of product that could cause a reaction - a soap, lotion, creme? Since the problem was there and went away I would spend some time trying to figure out if something in your immediate environment could be causing the problem.

I have been going crazy trying to figure out what might be the culprit but I am not having any luck. I have even tried to ignore it, hoping it would go away on its' own but that is next to impossible. One of my thumbs is cracked open and on top of that I got a paper cut yesterday, right in the crack! I have Bactroban that usually heals the cracks. Since I still haven't obtained a job, and I've already missed my birthday(12/05) celebration, I think I will put on a lot of makeup and try to go out and enjoy myself tonight! I will start investigating more possibilities tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll figure this out real soon. Thanks again for all your advice. Merry Christmas!

You may have a contact allergy that will recycle if you do not launder pillows/sheets, hats, towels. Anything that is in contact with your face needs to be cleaned. You say hands are irritated. Could be starting with hands that are allergic to cleaner/soaps and then transferring to face.

Anon - Treatment for swollen and itchy eyelids would really depend on what's causing the inflammation and irritation.
If it is some type of irritation or allergy then you may be able to find relief from an over the counter product available from a drug store. Drops known as artificial tears are also available, and they can often help in these situations. The pharmacist should be able to help you in determining which eye drops would be best for you to use, and they are relatively inexpensive.
In some cases warm compresses can help reduce the swelling. This is just applying a washcloth warmed with water to the area, with eyes closed, for several minutes at a time, for several times.
Good luck to you, both with your health concerns and your job interview! Pat

Thanks for your advice. I didn't think it was possible but they are even worse this morning. I don't see any sense in going to interview. The way they look and feel, they are either going to bust or close altogether. In my unemployed, uninsured situation, I do not know what I will do now!

To all looking for cause and hopeful cure, I recommend that you continue to do research online for natural or home remedies of a particular ailment or condition. I like earthclinic.com in which people share their experiences using natural ingredients, because I'm allergic to too many RXs. And there are other websites worth checking out. Good health to all.
