pins and needles, no sleep from hot flushes combined with night sweats, vaginal tearing when my partner just touches me, weight gain all of a sudden, headaches, extreme hip pain and muscle weakness.

Hi Susan
Thank you for your answer. I have been to the doctor and he has given me some HRT to try, so I will see how it goes. Thank you for the links I'm sure they will help.

Hi wallcorn

Thanks for your post! I'm sorry your symptoms are so awful.

Many women who have no history of cancer find that Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) can really help with the symptoms of menopause. You can read all about that here in our Menopause Center: http://www.empowher.com/menopause-and-hormones

More on HRT here: http://www.empowher.com/menopause/content/hormone-therapy-options-menopause

And here is a discussion on women who have or are trying various options, including more natural methods: http://www.empowher.com/community/ask/hrt-or-not-hrt

Let us know what you think!
