Hi shweta waradkar

Thanks for your question!

Microcephaly is a condition where a child is born with (or develops) a very small head, that's not proportionate with their body. When a person is born with this condition, it's known as congenital but it can develop in the first couple of years of life also.

People with this condition can have seizures or Autism and other developmental disorders. Behavioral issues can also occur.

According to the National Institute of Health, this condition can be caused by toxins (chemicals/radiation) that get into the mothers system during pregnancy, alcohol abuse, exposure to chickenpox, malnutrition, infections or a genetic disorder that's passed down onto the child. Diabetes can also play a part.

Do you know someone with this condition? Are you looking for help for them?
