What is the cause of white particles from my vagina?

What is the cause for small whitish particle from my vagina. I have no other symptoms like itching or white discharge, nothing. Its just the small white particles like that of a wet tissue. Could this be a cause for the delay in my periods? I have skipped my periods last month. And I have not had sex so far. So its highly unlikely that I am pregnant. What else could be the cause for these particles? is it some thing to be worried about?

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your concern.

Do you normally have a regular menstrual cycle? Was last month the first time you skipped a period?

Do these white particles look like flakes, such as with dry skin?
This might indicate a flaky vagina caused by an allergic reaction.

Laundry detergents, soap, douches, and feminine hygiene products are also potential causes of an allergic reaction of the vagina.

Refrain from using scented products near the vagina. This includes feminine sprays and scented toilet paper.

Anonymous, if this doesn't help, consult your physician. It would be a good time to discuss your missed period.

Regards,
Maryann

Hello Ms.Maryann,
Thanks you very much for your reply. I have skipped my periods twice 8 months ago since then I've been having normal cycle and I haven't missed any. After that this is the first time I am skipping my periods.

The while particles aren't dry like flakes. Its wet and very small. And I don't use scented products near the vagina.
