Q:

What causes blood clotting during menstrual cycle, when your tubes are tied.

I had my tubes tied for six years. I had a period for two days consisting of clotting, no bleeding on a pad. I would only see the clots while using the restroom. I also had back pain for three weeks and tender breast. Any ideas?

Hello Chandra1243,

I would like to welcome you to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for coming to us with your concern.

I am very concerned that you are passing blood clots without a vaginal flow. Please contact your gynecologist today and schedule an appointment as soon as you can. Do keep us updated on what your doctor determines as the cause.

Regards,
Maryann
