Clear, pale, straw-colored, or transparent yellow urine usually signals adequate hydration and is often considered “normal.” A diuretic medicine (or “water” pill) could also cause clear urine. But if you don’t drink many fluids, are not on a diuretic, and still have consistently clear urine, it could be a sign of a kidney or liver disorder and that you need to see a doctor.
