Guide

Blue Waffle disease is a sexually transmitted disease which is similar to trichomoniasis. It affects the vaginal region of women and can affect the urogenital tract in women as well as men. It is more common in adult females compared to males.

According to the website, Blue Waffle, the term blue waffle is coined from this condition affecting the vagina primarily because waffle is a slang term used for the vagina.

The infection causes inflammation and discoloration of the vaginal area. The condition causes the vaginal to turn bluish in color. Other symptoms include vaginal soreness and itching.

Vaginal discharge is also commonly observed in this condition as with other sexually transmission infections. The discharge in this case may be yellowish and a strong odor may be detected in the discharge. The discharge may also seem clumpy.

While not much is known about this condition this infection can be transmitted sexually and therefore it is important to follow safe sexual practices. As with other infections with this condition also it is important to follow correct hygiene practices.
