Anon - Thanks for writing and sharing your concern about your grandmother. You probably have a lot of questions, and want to know how you can help her through this. You'll find a lot of helpful information based from our bladder cancer community page at https://www.empowher.com/condition/bladder-cancer

Blood in the urine is common. Other symptoms include frequent urination, painful urination, lower back pain, weight loss, bone pain and sometimes abdominal pain. She's going to need a lot of support through this, and will probably need some help at home and in getting to appointments and in getting her medications.

If you have questions after reviewing the information on our site please let us know and we'd be happy to help. Let us know also if you need help for yourself in being one of her caregivers.

Take care,
Pat
