My daughter is 19 months. If I don't breastfeed her, she goes ballistic. I am exhausted.

Hi Anon!

Thanks for your post and I'm sorry this is going on.

Will she take a formula supplement to give you a rest? At 19 months she can drink from a sippy cup with something like soy or almond milk in order for you to rest. It might be hard for her but if you are ready to wean for the sake of your mental and physical health, then she might just have to wean and be done with it. Your well-being is just as important.

However, breast feeding is still great for babies and if you can continue, your best way to energize yourself with naturally - with food and exercise.

We have a great article here on the Top 10 energy boosting foods: http://www.empowher.com/fitness/content/top-10-foods-improve-energy-levels

Even if you're tired, take a walk with your child to get your body moving and it'll help you sleep better.

Here is an article on nutrition and breastfeeding: http://www.empowher.com/healthy-eating/content/nutrition-while-nursing-keeping-your-newborn-and-yourself-healthy-and-happy

I hope this helps you!
