Dear Anon

Thanks for your question and welcome to EmpowHer!

If I am reading your question correctly, did you start taking birth control pills - but only took a single pill and then didn't take them again at all?

If this is the case, you are not protected against pregnancy in any way. If you have had unprotected sex since, then your risk of pregnancy is probably the same as if you didn't take that pill at all - depending on the time of the month you began the pill.

Why did you stop taking the pills? Are you concerned that you are now pregnant? When did this happen? If it's all very recent, it may still be worth your while to take Plan B. Was this in the last 72 hours? Plan B would not offer a guarantee, especially if you had sex multiple times but it may be worth a try.

Please update us with more information (and a time-line) and we can help you out further. We wish you the best and hope to hear from you soon!
