Hi,
Treating a yeast infection with anti-fungal creams or suppositories while menstruating may not be effective, especially if you have a heavy flow. Speak with your doctor about being treated with a prescription oral medication instead. Tampons also should be avoided if you have a yeast infection. Pads are preferable to tampons .but avoid scented sanitary pads. I hope this information is helpful.
