i have abeen in menapause for at least 10 years (62 age) and lately i am not happy with my homone treatmenet. The family doc suggest that i try the patch i don't remember the name of it but is use for high blood pressure. I have not tryed it yet becuase i just went on vacation. I plan on seeing a specialist when i get home again. I do have this problem and that is i can't ado the stirrups becuase of my back problem. I puts me on beda rest for a week. Yes i do get treated for that. I am allergic to asprin so i have to take morphine Re. The first time i saw this doc he had to give me a general in the hospital setting to make sure i don't have any cerical cancer. IT was negative. i am traying real hard to do alot of swimming to see if my back can take it better. I also have fibromyalgia.

Hi Nasrin,
Thank you for your question and for joining EmpowHER. Menopause can be very uncomfortable for some women. Have you been to the doctor to confirm you actually are in menopause? The depression especially is something you may want to discuss with your doctor, and the urinary incontinence. Your doctor can assess if he thinks medication can help you in your own personal situation. As far as the headache and backpain go, do these respond to OTC medications like acetaminophen or ibuprofen? If you are getting severe headaches and back pain that isn't being helped by OTC medicines, then your doctor could possibly prescribe something for that as well. In the meantime, here are some possible remedies to read up on:

Good luck and let us know how you're doing.
