Yesterday morning when I woke up my neck cracked. However, I started to feel pain on my neck instantly. It turned out I can twist my neck in one direction completely fine however when I try to turn my head in the other direction I can't because of discomfort and pain. My neck seems to be twisted and I thought that it will be back to normal soon but it has not. The pain still persists as I try to twist my neck or move it normally. I am 19 years old and this is the second time this happens to me. The first time it juts lasted hours and my neck was back to normal a couple of hours later. Since this time is different and this has persisted for more than 24 hours, I do not know if I should go to a hospital. What should I do? Go to the hospital or not.

Miscortes,
The pain has decreased and i can move my neck a lot better by now. I have decided to go to my doctor as soon as i get home after the holidays. Since everything turned out to be fine after a couple of days. I have slight pain but its not as intense as it was on Thursday and Friday morning. Thanks.

Hi Juliar,
If you are in pain, I would certainly have your neck checked out for any possible damage. It is much better to be safe than sorry later especially any pain associated with the neck and spine. Can you keep us updated?
