i just started in yazmine friday for the first time but i missed taking it on sunday. i also forgot to take the monday pill but took the 2 the moment i remember later monday morning. i also took 2 pills tuesday(for today and t he one for wednesday). i had sex on sunday night, without condom because i'm allergic to latex. from monday afternoon i've been seeing some spots of blood but it seems to be heavier this morning. i'm also getting craps in my lower abdiminal area. does this mean i could be ovulation? Is it ok to still have sex now?

also with to 2 pills i took today i only took one at the regular time then i took the other about 30 mins later, which was the wednesday pill. since i already to the pill for wednesday today what pill should i take tomorrow?

Hi jricri,
Cary's right, she gave you good advice. You should be aware that the morning after pill doesn't work like that. The morning after pill is supposed to be a one-time use pill you take after you've had one unprotected sex event. The morning after pill is not intended to be normal contraception. If you have to use the morning after pill, you're not being safe.
I wrote an Advocacy Sheet about missing birth control pills. I'm not a doctor or a pharmacist, but I think you need to get back on track with your pack of pills. I would call the doctor's office who prescribed the yasmin pills to you and ask the nurse what they suggest. Generally when you miss one pill, you should take it immediately, and then take the daily pills as normal. It's OK to take 2 in one day if you missed a day, but taking Wednesday's pill on Tuesday doesn't make sense. Here's the article, hope it helps:

If you don't want to become pregnant, it's always a good idea to use backup birth control to make sure you are protected. Sex shouldn't be so stressful. If you're getting stressed, something's not right. Good luck and let us know if you have further questions.

Hi J

Birth control pills only work properly if you take them properly. Missing them and making up with a few in the manner you are is just about the same as not taking them at all. You are having unprotected sex and risking pregnancy.

There are non-latex condoms available. As far as the pills you can ask a pharmacist but your best bet is to either continue through the month taking them every day and using a secondary method of contraception, or just starting over on a new month and using a secondary method for that month. Otherwise, you are risking pregnancy.

For further information, call your pharmacist. Good luck to you.
