What is spinal stroke? How is spinal stoke caused and are their any risk factors of it?

A spinal stroke happens when the blood that flows through the body cannot reach the spine properly (the blood flow is interrupted) and results in the spine not being able to function properly. 

Spinal strokes are very unusual - only about one or one and a half stokes out of every one hundred stokes are spinal strokes. 

Most of these strokes are in older people and blood clots are sometimes the reason they happen. Other reasons include body degeneration from age and surgical complications.
