I am 55 with pelvic pain, bloating, gas, pain during intercourse, and pain in my back. I had a d & c which showed fragments of benign weakly proliferative endometrium with chronic endometritis. Fragments suggestive of benign endometrial polyp. No evidence of hyperplasia,glandular atypia or malignancy. I was treated for an 8 mm kidney stone which Drs thought were causing my pain. After several lithrotripsies and stents I am now stone free, yet I am experincing chronic pain . What should my next steps be> Thanks KT

I'm sorry KT. Just make sure that you take a list of questions with you to your doctors appointment in October so that you can get the best understanding out of what is going on in your body.

I'm sorry you're still in pain even after treatment. Chronic Endometritis is a condition where the lining of the uterus is inflamed or irritated from bacterial infections spread from the vagina.
If you are still in chronic pain, the next step would be to see a doctor to verify why you're still in so much pain. If it was not long ago, sometimes people suffer from phantom pain which is when you still feel pain from something that is no longer there. For some people, phantom pain gets better over time without treatment. For others, managing phantom pain can be challenging. Please do not let this deter you from visiting your doctor and keep us posted.

Thanks so much for answering my question. I do have an appointment with a specialist at the begnning of Oct. I did have a few swabs done to check for infections and it has never come back positive. I am wondering if I do have endometriosis? I am honestly in constant pain and I don't think it is phantom pain...I guess I have to hold and and see......
