Q:

What would be the possibilities

I had my period on the 4th of Feb until 9th of Feb, I and my boyfriend had unprotected sex on 14th of Feb although we sometimes used condoms, on our last round we used withdrawal method. 6 days after which is today, 20th of Feb, I had a very very light discharge. What would that be? Ovulation discharge? Since I was on the middle of the cycle or implantation bleeding? Btw, my cycle is unpredictable, I sometime skipped a month, sometimes had 30+ days cycle.

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

I cannot say for certain what the discharge indicates. What color was it? What was the texture, thick or thin? Have you have had this type of discharge before?

I can tell you that the withdrawal method is a very ineffective birth control method. It takes a lot of skill and control for the male to withdraw just before ejaculation.

With a history of irregular menstrual cycles, it is difficult to determine when you are ovulating.

At this point, all that I can suggest is wait and if you do not get a period by the second week of March, take a pregnancy test. You might want to consider seeing a gynecologist to discuss the option of oral contraceptives both as birth control and to help regulated your menstrual cycle.

Regards,
Maryann
