Hi Anonymous-

Have you seen a health care provider about your leg? Are you on birth control? There are quite a few issues that can cause the symptoms you are describing, anything from a chronic blood clot to a low back or hip problem. I suggest seeing a health care provider. With an exam and some imaging like xray, MRI or ultrasound, they should be able to help you figure out what is going on. You have been dealing with this on your own for far too long.

Please see a professional, and let us know what happens.

Hi, Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHer, and thank you for your question.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this leg pain. You have been experiencing it for a long time now. Have you ever mentioned it to a doctor?

Is the pain in both your legs when it happens?

Does it seem to be a muscle pain? Or something deeper?

Does it help or hurt when you try to massage the area?

And is the pain all over your legs, or in a certain area? (Like knee, inner thigh, outer calf, etc).

Lastly, are you active? Do you exercise or play sports? If so, which ones and how often?

Please get back to us with a little more information and let's see if we can help.
