Where is this coming from?

For a 2 weeks now i been having these brown specks when i wipe, it is itchy but not that bad. No foul smell and just regular clear vaginal mucus they were still there after my cycle went off. Off and on for a few days i notice that i have very light blood ( Really have to look at it close to see it )... My cycle was off on the 13th of this month. Also a few days ago, me and boyfriend were having dry sex, he had a condom on and i had on panties. As he pushed his penis against my panties, my panties went further in me ( I am a virgin ) and that night i noticed the blood then. So could it be irritation from the panties? I hope its not anything serious.

Hello Anonymous,

Thank you for coming to us with your concern. Unusual vaginal bleeding can be alarming.

You may have a case of "non-infectious" vaginitis. Vaginitis is a medical term used to describe various disorders that cause infection or inflammation of the vagina.

If you recently changed your soap or laundry detergent or have added a fabric softener, you might consider stopping the new product to see if the symptoms remain. The same would apply to a new vaginal spray, douche, sanitary napkin or tampon.

I do not think it is serious.

Maryann

Hi Anonymous,

How bad is the pain? Is it constant or does it come and go?

It comes and go... It just feels like cramps, it isn't like painful enough to take pain relievers. The brown specks are still there though

Hi Anonymous,

Sorry, but I cannot think of any cause for the intermittent cramping and brown specks. Brown specks indicated old blood. All that I can come up with is an irritation or a little bit of blood left from your last period. But I have no explanation for the cramping.
