I'm 20 years old. I have regular periods. I have been with my boyfriend for three years. We dont use protection. The bleeding is light red, red, and brown. I have some mild cramping. What is wrong?

Hi Anonymous,
Are you currently having a period that is now lasting for 3 weeks? And this is the first time that this has ever happened? I suggest that you make an appointment with your doctor. A gynecological examination will be necessary to determine why you are bleeding for a longer period. Also, a blood test will need to be done to be sure that you are not anemic as a result of the extended period of blood loss. Hypermenorrhea is the term used to describe a prolonged menstrual flow and can lead to anemia. Keep us posted on your condition.
