Q:

Why can't I have sex?

Up until I had a uti, followed by thrush, earlier this year, I could have sex normally. Since then (about 8 months ago) I have only managed to have full sex twice... Penetration is extremely painful, and during intercourse, no matter how much lubrication, I feel a contant burning pain and have to stop after about 3 minutes. The following morning I always develop uti like symptoms(stabbing pain during and after urination, stinging bladder, frequency, urgency), which aren't a uti because they vanish in a day or two.... I have no idea what this could be? The entrace to my urethra always seems to be hard a swollen, almost blocking the entrance to my vagina, hence the painful penetration. Any idea what this could be? My fiance and I are both very distressed about this. Please help.

Guide

Hi,
Make an appointment with your gynecologist as soon as possible. These symptoms are abnormal and have persisted for too long. The cause can only be determined with a physical examination, specifically a pelvic exam, and specific lab tests.
