Why do i have darker skin on private areas, inner thighs and especially butts? How can i get rid of it?

I an Indian girl aged 28 yrs, i have fair complexion but the skin on the back of my legs is darker than the front side, the dark areas exist near vagina and inner thighs also and my butts are having darker patchy skin and have boils mark on them. Its really embarrassing as i can't wear shorts, skirts and can not even go swimming. This problem persists since childhood or as far as i can remember. I am married and am embarrassed to wear short dresses before my husband too. I do not have kids and i am also not on contraceptives.
Please Help.

Hi Parul.Randhawa,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Variation in natural skin color is mainly due to genetics, ethnic backgrouns and age.  If you have had these darker skin tones since childhood.  It's possible either your mother side or your fathers side of the family might had this as well.  If it's affecting your daily life this much, it might be good to see a dermatologist and explain how you feel.
