why does the latest research inndicate explosive rather than tradional resistance training as the better?

Thank you for your question and welcome to EmpowHer. Any exercise regime depends upon the exerciser and what their goals are ultimately. For individuals that are looking to gain power and strength for sporting activities, they would certainly use the rigid exercise regime to gain power and muscle. On the other hand, there are individuals that workout to maintain weight without the necessity of muscle gain and could mainly use a resistance regime.

Is there a specific goal you are trying to attain?
