Q:

Why does my boyfriend masturbate beside me while I'm sleeping?

I know that my boyfriend is not gay... Well of course you can't be sure but I know him well enough.
A few months ago he wanted to try 3somes... And I was game for it, just so he would be satisfied. Nothing happened, and he said i wasn't trying hard enough to find someone (obviously I'd feel uncomfortable if he went out to find a woman, so he left the ball in my court) and if I really wanted a 3some, I'd be making it happen. So to prove I wasn't all talk, I went on a rampage trying to find a woman, and then he seemed very disinterested.

I've tried everything... He won't just do it spontaneously, it always has to happen at night right before bed, and I've bought tons of lingerie in the past couple months, because he said he likes it.

But I'll put the outfit on and go and sit with him... He will acknowledge what I'm wearing... But not do anything... Not until we climb into bed at night. I just don't know what to try! :(

You call that sexual exhaustion, it's when you no longer feels the sexual urge to get intimate with your partner. I say give him time to breathe. If you have no doubts with his sexuality or him having a third party then probably it's just sexual exhaustion, just give him space and later on he'll come back looking for it. - J. Kale Flagg

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  You might need to seek help from a psychotherapist.  It sounds like he has lost an interest in the relationship.   Why would you want to continue in a relationship with a man, that makes you feel this way.  No one needs to change their morals or habits to satisfy someone else in a sexual way. Specially, having to seek someone else to bring into your relationship. Seek help from a counselor, that will help you see what is best for you.

Best,

Daisy
