Mine is in the low seventies. I am 74 yrs old. Any problem with my low systolic blood pressure? I had open-heart surgery 18 months ago....5 bypasses.

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

Considering your cardiac history of open heart surgery, any concerns about low systolic blood pressure should be discussed with your cardiologist.

Systolic blood pressure (the upper number) indicates how much pressure your blood is exerting against your artery walls when the heart beats.

Regards,
Maryann
