Q:

Why is my period cut short?

I usually get my period for 5-6 days, but his month I had it for 3 days with a light stain my 4th day. My first day was extremely heavy and and my 3rd day was brown spotting. It was completely gone by my fourth day. This was supposed to be my 5th day and I feel like I have motion sickness.

Thank you. I was concerned, because in my 37 years, I have been absolutely the same 5 days with the second day heavy and the fourth spotty. It has been so predictable that I knew the day it would come almost to the hour. This was a huge shock because I never bled that heavy first day in. It's good to hear from a professional. Thanks again.

Gekeew,

Your period will not be the same duration and heavy flow every month, some months it can be lighter and there is nothing wrong with this. Usually when you have a lighter flow one month the following month may be a little heavier-- however, a period anywhere between 3-7 days is a normal period.

Best,

Rosa
