me and my boyfriend had sex on july 16 i started my period the next day it went till the 19th could i have just been preparing for a pregnancy it is now a week later and i have had slight morning sickness and small little cramps in lower abdomen also for about 2 days after period i had light ping very slimy mucus but only when i whip me and my bf also had sex unprotected the 22 im on the patch but dont know how effective it is its only 2nd month on it what do you guys think

A period is a sign that you are not pregnant; it is not a sign that your body is "preparing for a pregnancy". Menstrual bleeding is the act of the inner lining of the uterus sloughing off, including an egg (if it has not already been re-absorbed by the body).
Your second question: you had unprotected sex, but you are on the patch? Using hormonal contraception (like the patch) is considered "protected sex" from pregnancy. (It is not protection from sexually transmitted diseases, and you should also be using condoms to protect yourself from STDs).
Hormonal contraception, when used consistently and correctly every time, is 99% effective at preventing pregnancy.
