So when the story came out on yahoo.com this morning that fish are being used as a way to help alleviate dry skin on women's feet, I just had to laugh. Yes, I know it's sandal season and nobody feels good about 'that' skin, but ....

Are you willing to try out this new pedicure method should it come to a location near you -- as they say?

As kids, my siblings, friends and I would dangle our feet over the edge of the skip or dock into the water. My father would joke about fish nibbling at our toes; so, of course, we would wait to see if that would ever happen. It was usually a school of minnows that demonstrated a bit of curiosity (thankfully, we were never in shark territory).

Carp do hold a certain fascination; my sister has an impressive family of koi in her back yard. They have been known to nibble at fingers (they're rather large). But, let them loose on my feet for a pedicure?

No way! haha!

No way, no how. Fish are for barbecues and aquariums. How did they learn these fish eat dead flesh? I'll pass.

I don't care if it works -- that is just too gross for me. I am not a big fan of pedicures, anyway. A pumice stone and lotion work just fine for me, so why mess with a good thing?
