My periods ceases after 5 days, whenever ℓ̊ have sex the following day, ℓ̊ spot a few hours afterwards. Moreover, ℓ̊ just had ovarian cyst surgery about 6 weeks ago, ℓ̊ had sex and ℓ̊ spot a fews hours afterwards. Though it has been happening right from time before ℓ̊ even have ovarian cyst. Is this going to continue? Is it normal?

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. It is difficult to explain what is supposed to be normal as we are all different and our periods tend to be different as well. What I can tell you Anonymous is that I also have 5 day periods, sometimes shorter that tend to drift off in the end, slowly come back then disappear for the month so what you explained is no different than myself. However, if you are concerned - you should always check up with your treating physician.

Is your current 5 day period different from what you had prior to the surgery?
