Dieting and bulimia

Congratulations on your recovery. Bulimia is a complicated disease and it's wise you're trying to keep it in check. One step you may want to take is re-educating yourself on the signs or symptoms of bulimia so you recognize them and can act on them early if you need to.

You can find great information at the 4women.gov Web site. They have a page dedicated to the condition. http://www.4woman.gov/faq/Easyread/bulne...

You may want to check with your primary care physician to help you evaluate how much weight you really need to lose. He or she may be able to put you on a plan or refer you to
a nutritionist, registered dietitian or other health care professional who can you give you the tools to achieve a healthy weight loss.

Another idea might be to include a family member or friend who is aware of your recovery from bulimia -- in on your weight loss goals. Being accountable to someone else in terms of your health, may be the support you need to stay on track and stay healthy.

Here's a checklist on setting weight loss goals.
