VIDEO - ADVOCATE: Missy Shares How Women Can Find A Urogynecologist

September 4, 2009 - 12:23pm 53 reads 0 comments

Missy explains how a woman can locate a urogynecologist in her area.

Missy:
A great place to start to find a urogynecologist is on the American Urogynecologic Society site. So, www.augs.org, and they have a find-a-locator application that you can type in your zip code.

There is also a National Institutes of Health funded network of providers. So, there are nine locations across the country that they have identified as centers of excellence and the NIH funds this network to do innovative, ground breaking research and if you look for that, it’s called the Pelvic Floor Disorders Network. If you just Google that it will pop up and the institutions are listed. If women are near those centers, that would be a great place to start.
