I AM UPSET ABOUT MAMMOGRAMS AT 50. I AM A BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR DIAGNOSIS AGE 45 STAGE 2. IF 50 WOULD HAD BEEN THE TARGET BACK THEN, FORGET ABOUT REMOVING BOTH MY BREAST , I WOULD BE DETECTED AT A VERY LATE STAGE OR WOULD NOT BE ALIVE AT ALL. IT TOOK 9 MONTHS BETWEEN MY MAMMOGRAM AND SURGERY. DUE TO ALL THESE OTHER EXAMS I HAD TO ENDURE.
November 21, 2009 - 6:22pmPEOPLE WOMAN ARE DYING IN THEIR 30'S AND YOUNGER AND OLDER. MAMMOGRAMS SHOULD BE LEFT UP TO THE DOCTOR TO DECIDE WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP.
THERE WAS SUCH A BATTLE WITH HEALTH CARE NOW THIS. DOES THE MADNESS EVER STOP . INSURANCE SHOULD FIT EACH INDIVIDUAL MEDICAL HISTORY AND ITS PREVENTIVE CARE. STARTING MAMMOGRAMS AT 50 WOULD DELAY DIAGNOSIS, IF POSITIVE THE LONG PROCESS OVER TIME OF LABS, EXAMS, MORE TESTING , SURGERY AND CHEMOTHERAPY. I DON'T GET IT DO INSURANCE COMPANY THINK THEY WILL SAVE MONEY IN THE LONG RUN? OR WILL THEY GET IT WHEN A FAMILY MEMBER GETS DIAGNOSIS THEN IT HITS HOME.
