We've been married almost 30 years, and our sex life has ebbed and flowed. It was harder when the kids were around and we were all leading very active lives. Still, we always made time to be intimate. Now, as we've aged and the kids are grown and gone, we could easily let a week go by without getting physical... but we don't. We still make sure to get intimate with each other at least once a week. More often than not, the more you have the more you want! ;)
With a small child, work, studying and being busy with other activities, I'd be happy to get at least two times a month. Though we've been together almost a decade... We simply don't have any chance more often.

I think it depends on how long a couple is together. We're not as "active" as we were two decades ago - but our love for each other is deeper.
