Hello my name is Cynthia! I am a mother of four children aging in ranges of 26 years to 3 years. I am that 1 in 4 statistic for heart disease. On top of that I have high blood pressure and mitral valve prolapse and another thing wrong with my valve that I am still unclear about.
I went to a cardioligist who basically runs a mill. He never told me what to expect,never told me things I could do. Just very impersonal and felt I was being treated like a obese woman and who cares.
I have learned that if you feed your body the right foods with the right nutrition it allows your body to repair itself. Fruits and Veggies...it's that simple. What grandma used to say when she said "eat your fruits and veggies" is true. Juice Plus is the next best thing to fruits and veggies.

I'm sorry you had such a negative experience with your physician, the person you'd expect to be the most helpful and supportive.
Our mothers and grandmothers were right: eat your fruits and veggies. Add to that whole grains. Eliminate refined sugars and flours, and soda. Drink your water and stay active.
Eat fresh, organic, if possible. I believe that you might need a vitamin supplement, but fresh fruits and veggies are better than a capsule, any day.
