Hi all!
Does anyone know an Endometriosis doctor in MI? Near Oakland county? Or a list of some? Please!
Thanx so much.

Thanx so much!
September 23, 2008 - 10:11amHave seen Dr. Mike last week. He is great! I have a plan now, it includes to see what is going on (Laparoscopy) and to get rid of my pain first. The next appointment is at the end of this week, with my hubby to get more details. Am a little scared, have to admit that..

Try Dr. Ira Mikelson at Advanced Women's Healthcare in Troy. He is a reproductive specialist and treated my endo for 15 years--successfully. He is a character. I miss him now that I've moved.

Hi Alysiak,
Thanks for your reply. Was searching all kinds of endo pages and with google as well. The ones you suggested are more fertility experts, not general gyn. I've seen one of those already but yours will be in my mind for a 2nd opinion.
July 18, 2008 - 7:19amI got diagnosed June 2007. During surgery. Had a chocolate cyst and severe endo in the bowl. The surgery took 6 hours and I lost one overy and the tube. When the pain came back a couple months ago and after a Hysterosalpingogram (HSG)which stated that my other tube is blocked I was send to a specialist. The fertility doc. As we also try to get pregnant he suggested IVF. As soon as possible before the endo takes over and I loose the rest. "Sooner or later there will be a Hysterectomy." And to deal with my pain he suggested pain meds.
So there was not much talk about my endo even though I asked a couple times. First get pregnant, then we'll see - Or "when you are pregnant we can send you back to your normal gyn! Isn't that great??"
Am not too happy with it. He was really nice and understanding with all our other questions but I was still missing a little more info on endo.
Am researching a lot on the net since than and read a couple books. Changed my diet and have my pain mostly under control.
I'd just like to talk to someone that has experience with endo which I can see when I don't try to get pregnant.. It would also be great to find someone that has good experience with a 'general' gyn and endo.
All those "Endo Specialists" seem to live in California.

Do you have a doctor referral service?
Doing a search on Google, I found a website for Doctors Brinton and Maximovich
I hope this at least gets you started on your search.
