I just read a great article about a surgical checklist that when followed, can reduce deaths and complications by more than one third. What a great idea this is, and it's so full of common sense. Here is the link to the main article:

As someone who has had surgery, I love it that this study was conducted and that surgical teams have been following the list with great success.

I think this is a great list. This list should be SOP for surgeries. It kinda makes me wonder what surgeons were doing before this list was created. I would be interested to hear what an actual surgeon thinks of it.
