My last period was December 14 this is the start date it last 7 days exactly i never had consistent cycles until i had kids at age 24. My concern is the past yr. Since august 2011 after i miscarried my periods were every 41 days which is not the usual 28. But the periods came every.month until recently i have been a little worried but not stressed. I went to the doctor last friday to do a pregnancy test it was negative, but i still have not gotten my period. The doctor informed i would be like 7 weeks by now but im sure this timeframe is based on a normal 28 day cycle. The only systems i recently been having is iritation heartburn and constipation. My cycle should have begun jan 24 based on my ladytimer updates. What could be the problem and when can i expect my cycle to start again. Is it possible i am becoming irregular to the point before i gave birth to first child. Because at the start of my very first cycle ever i got a period every four months for 7 days so since i was 12yrs until 21. Please help i maybe stressn now because of anticipation of when it will return. Thank you!!!!!!

If you have had unprotected sex, then there is a good chance that pregnancy is the reason for a missed period. You could take another pregnancy test. Follow the directions carefully to be certain you get accurate results.
If the test is negative again, be certain you get answers from your doctor before you leave the appointment.

Has you doctor given you a possible explanation or causes for your irregular menstrual cycle?
How old are you? Some women begin perimenopause, a time when hormone levels fluctuate and the menstrual cycle becomes irregular, as early age their 30s.
A hormone imbalance may be causing menstrual cycle irregularities. If the problem continues, call your doctor again.
