I smell spring in the air, must be global warming, either way, its time for exciting new beginnings as we ring in the New Year. At the top of all of our lists is getting in shape! During this pre-spring time I start feeling the shift. I notice I have much more energy, as the days are longer and the night’s dont seem as cold.
We are coming out of the most abusive season of all, winter! This is the season when our skin, nails and hair become dry, we forget to take our essential oils and we abuse ourselves in terms of sugar alcohol and late nights. Its time to shed our heavy winter coats and clothing lets unveil our bodies in all their glory. Well maybe a little too much glory around the mid section, rear and thighs...this is where adipose typically accumulates over the winter as we pack it away like a squirrel.
Shed it all baby! Time to start cleaning out....I didn't say cleanse. A cleanse will come in march for spring which is liver season and the correct time to conduct a full cleanse or detox. Right now we are simply looking to eliminate all the culprits that got us here in the first place....the holiday treats, the alcohol, the bread, cakes, cookies and pies, all those late nights. This is the time when all wild animals in nature sleep, you need this complete time for the cycle of healing for all your organs to heal.
