Most people dream as there is a subconscious reason why sometimes we remember dreams and sometimes we don't. What about premonitions or day dreaming? Is there something more to our subconscious then we know?
Two days ago, I was driving to work. The sun had not met the horizon yet and the traffic was minimal. In my mind's eye, I began drifting to another place, another time maybe. I was watching my own funeral procession. It was a beautiful sunny day, all my friends and family were dressed in black and a morbid feeling came across me. What would people say about me when I am gone? Did I make you laugh? Was I a good person?
As my mind wandered, I watched as a line of cars circled my grave site where my body laid lifeless on top of a six foot hole. The grass was green, I could even smell the flowers in memoriam. At that very moment, my mind bounced back to my drive to work as I was exiting the highway to my daily parking lot ritual. I have to wonder...why did I have this out of body experience or premonition of my own death?
I know in the past, I have researched dreams and what they mean. For an example, death may mean life or a life change. What about when you are awake? Is this my sixth sense? We all have some sort of ability, right?
This experience, although morbid, stopped me in my tracks and I was unable to function for the rest of the day as I felt exhausted as if I ran a marathon. Even writing this story, I feel nauseous. Why? I was wondering if anyone else has experienced such a story that they can share and maybe help me make sense to the senseless. What does this all mean?
