The hardest part of under taking anything new is getting yourself mentally prepared for the challenge. Whether it’s fitness related or personal growth. But having the right mindset, one of strength and focus, is crucial to achieve your dreams.
You can incorporate these following mindset tactics into your life for everything including your career but also for your training to get everything you want out of life.
The first of the Strong Mindset Series is VISUALIZATION
When you can visualize something that you want to achieve, you begin to form an emotional connection to that dream or goal. The more you visualize it , the more tangible it becomes. You must make this a real vision that even though mat seem far away, it is definitely achievable.
Do not make the big mistake of getting caught up with the fact that you don’t have what you want yet. If you sit there and dwell on that then you will stay stuck exactly where you are, and you DON’T want THAT.
Begin to think about the more IDEAL version of yourself and what that ideal version of you is doing. Step back and detach from the negetive emotions of where you are now because that will all change if you continue to adopt this new mindset.
I know for myself, there were quite a few years in my life that I was definitely not happy with where I was in my life. I knew in my heart and kept visualizing what I wanted to do and visualized myself owning my own business. Even in those times of darkness I knew that one day I would be doing it my way with all my passion. Now here I am today doing it. I still continue to visualize my next step and wake up each day with that vision.
If you listen to any super star athlete, they will say the same thing about how they always visualize themselves scoring or making great plays in their sport. This can become reality if you keep it a part of you.
So my call to you, right now is stop dwelling on the negative feelings your having because you are not exactly where you want to be either physically, mentally or spiritually. Start today visualizing the IDEAL VERSION of you!
