I am a sixty eight years old college Professor successfully managing my type II diabetis for the past thirty years and living an almost normal life. These are my words of wisdom I like to share with others.
Diabetis can be successfully managed by controlling diet, exercise, insulin injection ,and taking some medicines to improve glucose receptor cells in body. By using starving diet and exercise alone can cause blood sugar level drop too low to shoot the blood pressure too high which cause catastrophic damage of retina (retinopathy), brain (stroke, kidney, and heart. When the damage occurs, it must be fixed. Sometimes it is too late. Prevention is better than cure. Managing diabetic one like myself can live a normal life.
