Out of control and hopeless are all-too-common feelings for binge eaters and emotional eaters. These three simple self-care strategies can go far towards putting an end to eating out of control.
- Eat every 3-5 hours. When we get too hungry, we tend to overeat. Then we feel guilty about it, which often leads to more overeating.
- Move your body in a fun way. Not to burn calories or reshape your body but to feel good. It helps short-circuit stress-related overeating, too.
- Talk to yourself positively. Even after an overeating episode. Actually, that's a great strategy for heading off another overeating episode.
