Women's Sexual Health Quiz: How Does Menopause Affect Sex? (Mayo Clinic)
I wanted to share this information, as there have been some questions regarding sexual desire and libido from women who are perimenopausal or have reached menopause, and are wondering, "what's normal"?
The Mayo Clinic is a great resource, and provides easy-to-understand information about this topic. Take the Women's Sexual Health Quiz (click here) and tell us how well you did on the quiz.

I'll share mine first:
I got 9 out of 10 questions correct (yeah!).
- I was surprised that age is not the most common cause of decreased sexual desire, but stress is! (what does stress not cause?!)
- The question I got wrong was "it may take longer to have an orgasm as you age". (I won't tell you the correct answer, but it does have to do with hormone changes).
I had the same score as you, 9 out of 10 right. I missed the question about stress being the most common cause of decreased sexual desire. I thought it would be age. Not surprised that stress impacts our sex drive, but I've just assumed that as I aged, my libido would decrease. I can say that just having entered menopause, I haven't seen it yet! Being a single woman who's currently going through breast cancer treatment, I seem to have a renewed interest in developing a long-term relationship again. Go figure...can't explain why it's happening suddenly as it's not something I've pondered for many years.
