Applies to: 45-90 years of age, must have caregiver, and clinically diagnosed with Alzheimer's
Patient Compensation: $200-750, depending on level of involvement
Number of Visits: 4-15
Length of study: approximately 12-78 weeks

Alzheimer's is a progressive and fatal brain disease that effects more than 5 million Americans. Alzheimer's destroys brain cells, causing problems with memory, thinking and behavior severe enough to affect work, lifelong hobbies or social life. Today it is the seventh-leading cause of death in the United States.

Taking the Test for Alzheimer's

There are now tests you can take to see if you are at risk for Alzheimer's. I took one such test and was found to be at 'moderate risk' although I did say I had a relative with it but she got dementia when she was 90! Not sure if that counts.

Anyway, no test can tell you for sure - not even close. But here is one test if you want to check it out
