I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis even thought I am sure it is RA.

I starting seeing a rheumatologist over a year ago. I had one test that came back negative for RA. I have researched and more testing is usually involved in regard to testing for RA.

Overall, autoimmune diseases affect 20 percent of Americans and 75 percent of those are likely women. There are also more than 80 autoimmune diseases that have been identified, according to the National Institute of Allergy an Infectious Diseases.
