Disease Of The Cervix - Disease Of Cervix - Diseases Of The Cervix

A woman's cervix is the lower part of the uterus that opens into the vagina. Doctors use PAP smears to obtain cells from the surface of the cervix to detect any abnormal cells, or cervical dysplasia. While cervical dysplasia is not cancer, it sometimes can develop into cervical cancer.
