Coping Lessons from Produce Bags

My wife often is too fatigued from her breast cancer treatment to grocery shop, so I do it. On one such excursion, I was in the produce section, pulled on the roll of produce bags to tear one off, and the entire roll fell off of the spindle and onto the floor.

When I picked it up I was startled at how heavy it was. I’m not saying that it was hundreds of pounds, but considering how each bag on that roll weighs practically nothing I was surprised that all of those “nothings” added up to a significant “something.”

Unncessary Mammograms? Who's Not Likely to Benefit from Breast Cancer Screening

Of all the cancer screening methods in this world, was there ever a more controversial procedure than the mammogram? Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been poured into determining when is the ideal time to start this hunt for breast cancer--the US Preventative Services Task Force now says age 50, while the American Cancer Society and other physician groups argue to keep it at 40—but there's a lot of hand-waving over when to stop looking.

Women know to look for a lump. We do our monthly self-exam and see our healthcare practitioners every year for our check-up. No lump = no cancer, right? Not necessarily.

Why is thermography not used with other tools in diagnosing IBC (inflammatory breast cancer)?
