More to be aware of regarding the swine flu (H1N1): Young children can apparently "shed" the virus far longer than older kids and adults, which may affect how long they should stay out of school.

On Thursday, the CDC released the news that as of the end of August, 28 pregnant women have died from the swine flu, and 100 have been admitted to intensive care.

The flu season is here, and typically lasts through March. So far, the flu rates have been low, with many states reporting on either no flu activity (cases) or only localized cases.
